Meet The Team
Dr Joy Johnson
Dentist
Prior to establishing White Bear Lake Dental, Dr. Johnson was a partner with Oakwood Dental Group in White Bear Lake for 11 years. She completed a one-year general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Johnson has completed numerous postgraduate dentistry courses and is dedicated to the latest advancements in the field. She remains current with the most recent procedures.
Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the Seattle Study Club, an organization dedicated to excellence in patient care and maintaining the highest level of knowledge in the field of dentistry.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Johnson spends most of her time with her daughter. She enjoys winter sports such as skating & snow skiing.

Megan
Dental Hygienist
Megan brings a high level of enthusiasm to the office. A native of Lino Lakes, MN, she holds a dental hygiene degree from Argosy University. Megan takes great joy in building relationships with her patients while educating them on how to optimize their oral health. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys various outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, as well as any activities that involve being near the lake. While her time is predominantly dedicated to her family, friends and camping adventures, she always makes time to brush & floss!
Laura
Licensed Dental Assistant

Laura finds enjoyment from establishing new patient relationships and gaining insights into the lives of her patients. She holds a degree from Century College's Dental Assisting program. Beyond general dentistry, Laura has dedicated significant time to Endodontics and Pediatrics throughout her professional journey. Laura and her husband reside in a blended household with seven children. The family loves going on road trips together and participating in outdoor activities to support their nonprofit organization, Hometown Hero Outdoors.
Jesi
Dental Hygienist

Jesi enjoys meeting new patients and is dedicated to providing them with tips to enhance their oral health care at home. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Herzig University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Outside of the office, Jesi likes to read, play Bingo, sing karaoke, and visit the casino. She particularly cherishes the time spent with her two daughters.
Jess
Office Manager
Jess is our billing and insurance specialist, dedicated to building strong relationships with our patients and ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of their financial responsibilities.
She is always available to provide personal guidance and address any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Jess takes the time to thoroughly investigate your coverage and provide accurate information.
When not working, Jess spends most of her time outdoors. She engages in activities such as bowhunting, hiking, and enjoying time on the lake with her family and friends. Her goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all patients, making each visit a positive experience.
Amy
Front Office Coordinator

Amy is committed to creating a welcoming environment for our patients. She values engaging conversations and fostering a sense of camaraderie among everyone. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Amy enjoys indulging in coffee, shopping, and spending quality time with family and friends. In November 2024, she welcomed her first grandchild, an experience that has brought her immense joy. Amy is grateful to be an integral part of the White Bear Lake Dental community, which consists of our valued patients and her supportive team of colleagues.
